Colab Dry Shampoo ~ Invisible Sheer

Back in October model and beauty blogger Ruth Crilly launched her own range of dry shampoo. I have a been a big fan of Batiste for many years and always repurchase whenever I run out, so when my latest can finished I decided to try something new. Colab is branded at being sheer invisible leaving hair without the chalk like residue that makes hair look like you've aged 10 years in just one spray. The dry shampoo come in five scents ~ London, Rio, New York, Tokyo and Paris. I picked up the travel size version of 50ml but they all come in a full size of 200ml for £3.50.
So, do I like it? Well yes, I do. It leaves my hair feeling fresh and soft and excess oil seems to disappear. The London scent is quite subtle which is something I always look for. There is a little bit of chalk residue but only if you don't shake the can vigorously and brush hair through.
I never thought I'd find another dry shampoo that I'd happily give up Batiste for, but Colab has won first place so I will purchase the full size.
You can currently buy both the travel and full sized from Superdrug and Feel Unique.
Have you tried it? Let me know in the comments below.

Essie ~ Sunday Funday ~ A Pop of Colour for Spring

Spring is on the way! Days are lighter for longer and the birds are chirping first thing in the morning. I hate Winter, especially January so when March comes I start to feel happier.
I generally love a bright nail colour, but tone it down in the colder months, so this week I treated myself to a new colour by my favourite brand Essie called Sunday Funday. This was part of the Summer 2013 collection and is a lovely coral colour with a hint of shimmer and is a cross between red and orange. As always, a great formula and I applied two coats. I bought mine from Boots for £7.99. Happy days! :)

Any colours you recommend for Spring?

No7 Match Made Lipstick Service Plus Bonus Gift*

As my regular readers would know, I absolutely love the No7 range by Boots, so when I was asked by the lovely ladies at my local counter to come in and try the new Match Made Lipstick Service, I jumped at the chance.
Let me begin by explaining what the service is. Boots are the first with the innovative device that reads your skin colour precisely and then matches it to one of their skin true shade foundations and concealers. From your skin true shade it is now possible that a range lipstick shades can be recommended to suit your skin tone.

My skin true shade is Calico which I previously blogged about here. I use the Stay Perfect Superlight Foundation. There are 17 skin true shades and once you have been matched you are given the corresponding card with the various lipstick shades.

My colour Calico has 11 Moisture Drench shades and 8 Stay Perfect shades in the lipsticks

I decided to try Pink Hint in the Moisture Drench range. It's a dusky pink colour and probably one that I wouldn't have picked up and tried on. The sales assistant also applied a Precision Lips Pencil prior to the lipstick in the colour Pink.

I was very pleased the colour and the staying power was pretty good of about two hours. Now that I have been given the Match Made card I can now choose some other shades now that Autumn has arrived.
Currently running until 30th September, No7 are offering the Exquisite Eyes Gift Box worth £26 when you buy any two No7 cosmetic products.

Contains:
Eye Colour Brush
Lovely Lashes Mascara
Stay Perfect Eye Shadow - Top shade in the Forest Fruits Trio
Stay Perfect Metallic Eyes Pencil in Purple.

A great gift box that you can either keep yourself or give to someone special, the choice is yours!

Smashbox Photo Finish Foundation Primer

The Smashbox Photo Finish Foundation Primer (12ml, £12.50) is a recent purchase, and something that I have been thinking about trying for a while. The reason I haven't tried it before is because of the price, as the full size version is £25. I thought this size was ideal to test out and I have been using it everyday for over a week.

The texture of the primer reminds me of the Laura Mercier one which I have used and loved. I do find that I need quite a lot of the product to apply to my face, so the 12ml size won't last me very long.
It's actually a great primer and I have noticed that my blusher especially, lasts ALL day, whichever brand I use. My foundation didn't last any longer than normal, but applied better. With five primers to suit your area of need there is something for everyone, especially now there are smaller sizes to sample.
